Italian Studies Scholarship

Honouring Language, Legacy, and Learning

The Sons and Daughters of Italy, Garibaldi Lodge is proud to support post-secondary
students who are advancing Italian language and culture through formal study. In
celebration of the University of Manitoba’s 125th anniversary and in keeping with our
commitment to education and heritage, we established the Italian Studies Scholarship
to recognize academic achievement and cultural dedication. The scholarship provides
an annual award of $600 and is designed to support undergraduate students at the
University of Manitoba who are pursuing a minor in Italian.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled full-time in any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba
  • Have completed both first- and second-year Italian courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Be entering third-year studies in the Italian minor program
